Christmas is coming...

Well, the weather has certainly taken on an Autumnal feel, the log fire has been lit, these past two evenings, after two days of rain, with more forecast over the weekend! As we hurtle through October, towards November, our minds will no doubt start to think of the festive period, so I have added a few Christmas bits to the website, including pretty vintage baubles, crackers and decorations...

A Road Trip...

Sunday saw us set off on a little trip up the North Norfolk coast road, the weather was glorious, a lovely sunny Autumn day! First stop was Sandringham for a spot of apple picking...
We then travelled up the coast road, through the pretty villages, to Wiveton Hall Farm Shop and Café, for a lovely alfresco lunch and finished off with a little treasure hunting in Holt, although no treasure was found LOL
I can't seem to make head nor tail of blogger this evening, it wants to underline all my text, I can't move the images around, so I have had to do the best I can! I hope your Sunday was a good one too...
Have a great week!

Style Your Modern Vintage Home

I borrowed this fab new book from the library, this weekend, written by Kate Beavis, owner of online vintage store, Your Vintage Life, it's a little bit different from the usual, offering not only lovely inspiring images, but also a little history and background information on different era's, starting with the 1920's/1930's right through to the 1990's. It also includes information on the homewares of the era, aswell as giving tips on restoring, said items, to their former glory!
WARNING! Lot's of images follow...

My particular favourite era is 1920's/1930's venturing into 1940's/1950's. What's yours?
Have a great week...
