Sewing Saturday and a little bit of Sunday too.......
What's a girl to do on a wet and miserable Saturday, to be fair it did fine up somewhat in the afternoon, the boys go off to football training in the morning, I rush about and get my housework done and then.....
I can go into my own world and not feel guilty........
The more sewing I do the more I learn, the more mistakes I make, the more mistakes I learn to put right.......
I am already looking forward to next weekend!

For the last couple of Saturdays I have been making cushions and trying to perfect a template for hot water bottles, ( I am not a natural at sewing, but I am rather enjoying it )
The top image is my second attempt, the fit was a bit tight and the backing felt a bit baggy, the lower image is my last attempt, which I am happier with, this one will be a gift for my lovely niece Martha......
Here is a selection of cushions made, all different sizes...

I love your little green sewing desk! I escape to my studio for sewing as well. It's peaceful.

Your sewing is great, I'm not a natural when it comes to sewing, I have to concentrate, check and check again, but it is very enjoyable and I'm sure with practice we'll improve. Your hot water bottle covers are fab, I'm sure your niece will be over the moon.
